Canoe has travelled the 80km extreme arts walk from Big Rock in the You Yangs to the foreshore of Barwon Heads.
Planting along the songline occurred at Limeburners Lagoon led by District Coordinator Matt Crawley.
A huge number of you (48 in fact!) walked the entire 80kms; many with blisters (some open, some more extreme), tight muscles but a huge sense of achievement when Barwon Heads rotunda on the Barwon Heads foreshore came into view.
Canoe is ready. Artists are making last minute adjustments to Songline Stations. School children have made lanterns. The dancers, choirs and musicians are well rehearsed in preparation for when we all Walk this Land.
Good news! The good folk at the Bellarine Heritage Railway would love to welcome you both.
There will be more than Lights On in the Industrial area of North Geelong as you walk this land Friday night 4 May as a part of Mountain to Mouth.
As you know, Mountain to Mouth is an 80km extreme arts walk. The 2018 theme, Earth, is reflected in all art installations along the walk. Each of the Songline Stations represent the local community in which the Stations are located.
Fact: There are almost as many locations and accommodation types in Geelong and the Bellarine as there are Walking Circle Songline stations.
Fact: Geelong and the Bellarine is the leading destination when it comes to weekend escapes.
