M~M is Geelong’s biennial extreme arts walk...
inviting people of all ages and abilities to walk this land and discover Geelong…
M~M is an original 24-hour extreme arts pilgrimage - an 80 kilometre biennial journey in 12 stages that creates a contemporary songline across the municipality of Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
Journey from the mountain top, across grasslands, industrial nightscapes, the city centre, rural landscapes and beaches while enjoying arts and local produce along the way.
M~M is time to walk this land. It is an ideal workplace relay, or an opportunity for competitive walkers to achieve all 80 kilometres in 24 hours.
M~M2014 is very honoured to have been named Best Community Event at the national 2014 Australian Event Awards. It also scooped the State (VIC) award for Best Cultural, Arts or Music Event and was a finalist in the Australian Event of the Year category.
M~M acknowledges Wadawurrung Traditional Owners of this land and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People who are part of the Greater Geelong community today. M~M is part of the Connecting Identities project of the Arts and Culture Department of the City of Greater Geelong.
